Objectives of Project 1. To introduce students to activities which culminate in the production of the study; collection, indexing and evaluation of information; analysis of information; compilation and organization of study; writing of study; assembly of illustration and text; design of layout; binding and presentation.
Reflection:
In this project i learn to describe the historical development of the main strands of Asian architecture.Besides, identify a broad range of issues related to the historical and chronological transitions of Asian architectural history . In addition, interpret architectural language in relation to the development of Asian architecture and urban ism based on the themes of tradition, modernity and globalization.
After doing a thorough research with my group mates, i really appreciate how the authorities of Cheng Hoon Theng temple strive to preserve this historical building so well. I also realize the importance of preserving historical buildings as these are what our ancestors left for us. Besides, i also learn to generate a more systematic research paper with proper citation and in depth research. I feel happy because me and my team mates worked well together and our tutors guide us well along the way.

In this project, we are to identify significant elements of Contextual Architecture through investigation on the selected building. Im glad that i have chosen this building because i taught me a lot. I really look upon to the architect Wang Shu who design this building, he is a master of Contextual architecture. I admire how to is able to preserve the local culture through the buildings he design. Through this building, i reminds the people of Ningbo their identity.
